Dr. Boitnott is a retired educator who worked as an elementary school library media specialist for most of her career. From 2008-2012, she served as President of the Virginia Education Association. Since 2013, she has been serving as an adjunct faculty member for SPCS, and she also owns her own private practice as a Career Transition & Job Search Coach that specializes in helping burnt-out teachers and mid-career professional revitalize their careers in new career paths. She teaches a course on education issues, policy, and ethics.
