
Undergraduate Certificate in Data Analytics
Our undergraduate Certificate of Applied Studies (CAS) in Data Analytics is flexible enough to help recent graduates expand their skills and knowledge to better prepare for entry-level positions, to help more seasoned individuals prepare for a career change and to help mid-career professionals expand their skillsets to assume new data analytics roles and responsibilities.
There are two required courses in data analytics and data visualization and a variety of electives to fill in your skills gaps, aligned with your education needs to support your career growth.
Our program integrates quantitative competencies across the curriculum. The skills you will learn are highly transferable, and graduates can use their knowledge to bring value to a wide spectrum of industries. As an added value, you’ll have the option to earn digital badges throughout the program, boosting your résumé before you even graduate.
The CAS in Data Analytics requires 18 semester hours split across 2 required courses and 4 electives. The certificate is offered online with select courses available on campus. An earned bachelor’s degree is required to apply for the CAS in Data Analytics.

Admissions
Admission to Undergraduate Certificate Programs
Students seeking admission to the Certificate of Applied Studies (CAS) must have earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. The CAS is available in the following areas:
- Data Analytics
- Information Security
- Information Systems
- Paralegal Studies
Admission requirements:
- Completed undergraduate certificate application including the $35 application fee
- Official transcripts in sealed envelopes from each university and college attended
- TOEFL scores if the applicant’s native language is not English
