Osher Member Art Show

Member Art Show 2026

The theme of the 2026 show, Friendship, was the unanimous choice of our Art Exhibition committee. Everyone felt that our Osher Institute is so much more than classes and events — we are a community. Friendships have been formed, long-term bonds have been created. We want to celebrate these wonderful and special connections!

Member-artists may interpret the theme using the art medium of their choice, capturing the essence of true friendships.

Submission Guidelines and Form

2025 Art Show

The UR Osher Institute’s inaugural Member Art Show was a weekend celebration of our many talented member artists. With more than 25 artists, the show kicked off with a sold-out Friday night gala. Our Special Programs Building classrooms and lounge were transformed into galleries and reception areas, complete with music provided by Jon Nielsen and his trio. The show was opened to the public on Saturday and Sunday.

Illustrating our Theme

The theme of the show mirrored our anniversary theme: Love of Lifelong Learning. Member-artists interpreted the theme using the art medium of their choice, capturing the essence of lifelong learning in unique ways. Works generally reflected a journey of continuous growth, exploration, and discovery.

quote
Someone suggested that this would be the event of the year. I wasn’t convinced, but the gala and the show itself proved me wrong.
