2025 Osher Fundraising Update

Each year the Osher Institute at the University of Richmond sets fundraising goals with the guidance of our Osher Leadership Council. Osher’s 2025 annual fundraising goals are the following:

  • Dollars: $43,000
  • Participation: 25% of current Osher membership.

All gifts, of all amounts, made during any campaign, given any time of the year count towards our yearly goals.

Your gifts ensure sustainability of our Osher Institute and allow us to offer some truly extraordinary events that enrich and enhance membership.

Our university-wide UR Here Giving Day kicks off at noon on April 9, 2025 and runs to midnight on April 10, 2025. A generous Osher member has pledged a match challenge. If SPCS, which includes the Osher Institute, receives 25 gifts between 6 a.m. and noon on April 12th, Osher will receive $5,000.
There are also university-wide unrestricted match dollar opportunities, available first-come, first-served until the dollars are matched up. Making a gift early during these times increases the chance to double your gift impact:

  • April 9, Noon-3 p.m.: $10,000 match dollars
  • April 9, 7-10 p.m.: $5,000 match dollars
  • April 10, 6-9 a.m.: $5,000 match dollars
  • April 10, 9 p.m. to Midnight: $5,000 match dollars

If you would like to explore ways to maximize your charitable impact in strategic ways such as a qualified charitable distribution gifts, please reach out to Amy Edwards, Osher Office, at aedwards@richmond.edu.
