Academic Support

College coursework is challenging. That’s why we provide academic support services to students, to provide the help or resources you need to succeed. Your success is our success, so we invest in your learning.

New Student Information

Joining the SPCS family as a new student can be a little overwhelming, especially if it’s been a long time since you were last in school. We’ve tried to simplify the new student orientation and onboarding process so you wonder less and know more about what you’re supposed to do to get ready for those first days of class.

Student Celebrations

We love to celebrate our students and their accomplishments. We celebrate during the year with SPCS Student Week, and we celebrate at the end of the academic year with our SPCS Night award ceremony and Commencement Exercises. Throughout the year, we highlight the accomplishments of our students and graduates in news stories, features and social media.

Education Students

The University of Richmond is well known for the high quality of its teacher education programs. SPCS is proud to host all graduate education programs, with programs in teacher licensure, curriculum & instruction and educational leadership & policy studies. Our education graduates get jobs and promotions in local schools and divisions, so we provide graduate-level professional learning coursework, too, so local educators can continue their lifelong learning.

Professional Education & Lifelong Learning

In addition to degree-seeking students, SPCS serves students of all ages through its professional education and lifelong learning programs. Professional education and lifelong learning students are generally served through our Think Again courses, programs and areas of study. And our Osher Lifelong Learning Institute are served through our Osher Institute programs and support.
