Microsoft Imagine for Students
The School’s Information Systems (ISYS) program has a subscription license for Microsoft® Imagine (formerly DreamSpark), which “connects students with the tools, resources and experiences they need to elevate their skills for today's working world.” (What is Microsoft Imagine?). The software has a retail value of over $5,000.
Microsoft makes Imagine available to students currently enrolled in at least one science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) course offered through a member department. Students may install the software on their personal computers, and faculty and staff directly supporting these courses are also eligible.
Microsoft Imagine Premium is available to SPCS ISYS majors (IT management and post-bachelor’s certificate). Students who are not majoring in ISYS programs are eligible to download the software during any semester they are registered for an ISYS course. Imagine premium includes most Microsoft software products except Word, Excel®, Powerpoint® and Outlook®.
Downloaded software may be used for coursework and personal non-commercial projects. Students may continue to use the software for non-commercial purposes, even after they graduate.
ISYS majors and students enrolled in ISYS or MATH classes will receive an email from Microsoft Imagine with instructions on how to complete the registration process.
Questions about SPCS use of Microsoft Imagine should be directed to Dr. Lionel Mew.
