The School of Professional & Continuing Studies offers classes and programs focused on digital and online marketing and promotions.

Our classes and programs cover digital and online marketing methods, channels, techniques, and technologies. Includes coursework focused on web management for business and home, but web development and coding are part of our IT, GIS & Coding programs.

Our Digital Marketing classes and programs seek to extend the values and resources of a liberal arts education into online and digital marketing fields.

In our Professional Education & Enrichment areas of study, we seek to provide a selection of coursework and programs that meet different enrichment and workforce levels of study. Each is described below:

    Paid Search (PPC)

    Online: Paid Search advertising, also called pay-per-click (PPC), is used to pay for traffic to visit a website. In this course, learners will explore search marketing, the search process, and the buying cycle. Also included is how to set up a successful PPC account, how to set and measure goals, and how to optimize keyword usage using a variety of strategies.     An Overview of Marketing

    Online: Marketing has become vital to the success of an organization in todays competitive world. This course provides an introduction to marketing and marketing planning, and addressing the definition of marketing, the marketing mix (the 4Ps), the strategic importance of marketing, and customer values and satisfaction.     Digital Consultation for Your Business

    Private consultation: Sign up for digital consultations for your business ranging from reviewing your digital marketing and suggesting improvements to your website to evaluating your social media exposure and assessing your mobile presence. This consultation may also be valuable for individuals in your company who are new to digital marketing and could use an outside perspective. Instructor-led (scheduled in consultation with instructor) through SPCS.

    Digital Media Private Instruction

    One-on-one instruction: This private, one-on-one session is designed to help with digital training for your website, advertising, special projects, or marketing needs. Sessions are also available to help with computer questions and software. Tuition includes 3 hours of instruction. Instructor-led (scheduled in consultation with instructor) through SPCS.

    Search Engine Optimization

    Online: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) encompasses the practices and metrics of trying to increase a web sites ranking with search engines. This course will engage learners through a variety of assignments that span the history and technology of the World Wide Web. Self-paced (three months access) with MindEdge.

    Social Media Marketing

    Online: Using social media in marketing is practically a requirement in todays highly connected digital world. But it can be confusing and complex to dive into social media marketing without some foundation in the basics. This course focuses on teaching the principles, best practices, and strategies for incorporating social media into a marketing plan. Self-paced (three months access) with MindEdge.

    Digital Marketing Strategy

    Online: Creating a digital marketing strategy is crucial to meeting the marketing goals of the organization.     Web Analytics

    Online: This course is designed to help learners develop a solid understanding of the basic concepts and techniques that they will encounter as practitioners in the web analytics field.
