2021 Year End Celebration

The end of the academic year for graduating degree-seeking students represents a series of celebrations. In 2020, thanks to the pandemic, we ended up celebrating entirely virtually, without an official SPCS Night awards ceremony or Commencement ceremony. But in 2021, we learned much more about celebrating virtually on Zoom and about safely holding in-person, physically distanced event.

So this year’s SPCS Commencement season included virtual SPCS Night 2021, a webinar version of our in-person graduation awards ceremony to which all graduating students in the Class of 2021 were invited, along friends and family and our faculty, staff and select alumni.

It also included the long-postponed celebration of the SPCS Class of 2020 with an in-person Commencement ceremony in the Robins Center on Saturday, May 8. And we celebrated the SPCS Class of 2021 with another in-person Commencement ceremony in the Robins Center later on the morning of May 8.

On this page you’ll find stories, Commencement addresses, videos and more that highlight how we celebrated graduation in 2021.

While our celebrations remained physically distanced this year, we are no less proud of our SPCS class of 2021!
