Transcript Submissions

Admitting you to an undergraduate or graduate degree-seeking program requires calculating your cumulative GPA using official transcripts for all college-level coursework you’ve attempted.

As a result, we require official transcripts from every institution where you completed academic coursework, even if taken for professional development rather than toward earning a degree.

Requesting Your Transcripts

Contact the office of the registrar for each institution to request official transcripts be sent to the School of Professional and Continuing Studies, University of Richmond. We accept electronic and paper transcripts as long as they are submitted directly from the institution.

Email

If given the opportunity to provide an email address for the transcript, please have official transcripts sent to spcsadmissions@richmond.edu.

Electronic Clearing House

Many institutions partner with third-party provider for electronic transcript delivery. Major providers in the U.S. are the National Student Clearinghouse and Parchment. Use the links provided by your institution’s registrar to complete requests to send transcripts to us.

When requesting transcripts through these providers, please try to select an option that includes “Professional & Continuing Studies” or “SPCS” as an option at the University of Richmond. If additional University of Richmond offices are not listed as recipients, add a note (if possible) to request delivery to the School of Professional & Continuing Studies (SPCS). Doing so can help your transcript get routed to our own admissions office rather than other offices on campus.

If there’s an option to have transcripts sent by email from these providers, use the address listed above.

Mail

If your institution mails official transcripts, please provide the following address:

ATTN: Admissions Coordinator
School of Professional & Continuing Studies
490 Westhampton Way
Richmond, Virginia 23173

International Applicants

Review additional admission requirements for international applicants.

A note about transcript delivery

Delays in transcript submission are our most frequent cause of delayed admission decisions. You are encouraged to request official transcripts as early as possible to avoid lengthy delays.

Be aware that college and university registrars may be unable to process transcript requests during school holidays or during peak enrollment and graduation periods.
