The Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies (BSPS) major in Information Systems and Cybersecurity prepares IT professionals to lead ethically and effectively in a global environment through applied leadership, ethical reasoning, and data-driven decision-making. The program emphasizes cross-cultural awareness, analytical skills, and integrity for impactful, responsible leadership across diverse sectors.

With a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Cybersecurity, you’ll be prepared to take your IT career to the next level and pursue a variety of technology roles in the private, nonprofit and public sectors. You’ll learn to design, secure, and manage modern information systems through applied learning in networking, databases, systems analysis, and enterprise cybersecurity strategy.

Outcomes

Graduates of the Information Systems and Cybersecurity program will be able to:

  • Apply principles of effective communication and system modeling for developing detailed specifications for information systems, including security requirements.
  • Apply techniques and control for information security to manage data as a corporate asset that underlies enterprise systems.
  • Apply principles of computer and network security, including cryptography, architecture, threats/attacks and defenses, and operational issues, to develop an enterprise IT security plan that addresses risk prevention and management.
