SPCS alum Travis Dodds, GC'14, GC'17, receives Milken Educator Award

SPCS graduate education program alum Travis Dodds, GC’14, GC’17, has been awarded the prestigeous Milken Educator Award. Likened to the "Oscars of Teaching," the award is given annually to 75 teachers across the United States. In a ceremony held at Hanover County’s Atlee High School, Dodds was surprised with the award announcement. Milken Educator Awards Founder Lowell Milken presented  Dodds with the first-ever $25,000 Milken Educator Award in Hanover County Public Schools. Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin and Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Lisa Coons, joined Lowell to honor Dodds in front of hundreds of cheering students, proud colleagues, dignitaries and media.
