SPCS donors earn campus bragging rights during 2023 Giving Day

During UR Here Giving Day on April 4-5, 2023, 227 donors to the School of Professional & Continuing Studies catapulted the School into the top position on the Unit Leaderboard, earning a $2,500 bonus to raise a total of $42,168 for the School’s funds.

The remarkable number of gifts secured our position atop the Unit Leaderboard, earning campus bragging rights until the next UR Here Giving Day in 2024.  

Bragging rights aside, the amount raised by these donors is equally exciting. With these gifts, we’re able to contribute additional dollars to SPCS scholarship funds and cover programming costs for activities and events for our students. The generosity of the SPCS community models the caring, collaborative and student-focused values of our mission, to enrich lives and careers.

This generosity led the Dean’s Ambassadors Circle (DAC) to provide a $20,000 bonus if we reached 60 donors, a challenge we met and surpassed by the time our Happy Hour kick-off celebration began at 5 p.m. on April 4. That generosity also led the SPCS Alumni Association Board to offer a $1,025 match to gifts given during Happy Hour on April 4, from 5-7 p.m., an amount that we met and exceeded during the Spiders & Hops event at Triple Crossing in Fulton. And that generosity ultimately produced a total of 227 donors to SPCS funds.

The School is especially excited to celebrate UR Here Giving Day 2023 as part of our 60th Anniversary celebration. To top the Unit Leaderboard for our 60th Anniversary is a special treat, one for which we are especially grateful.
