Summary of CAEP accreditation virtual visit

In early February, the Teacher Education Program and Educational Leadership and Policy Studies program welcomed a team from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) to conduct a site visit with our faculty, students, staff, alumni, P-12 school partners, and community partners.

During the visit, the CAEP and VDOE team interviewed these constituencies to verify and understand our program’s processes, impact, and partnerships in the final stage of our seven-year accreditation cycle.

Though the official CAEP and VDOE team findings are not public until this summer, we were extremely pleased with the engagement, questions, and feedback provided during the site visit.
