Mark Gornik Excellent Award plaque given to Rodney White, C’12.

Rodney White, C’12, has received the Mark Gornik Excellence Award from the Virginia Department of Corrections for his work in reentry.

White was released 14 years ago from federal prison, and he’s followed his passion to work in prisoner reentry efforts since his release.

The award plaque reads as follows: “Mark Gornik Excellence in Reentry Award presented to Rodney White in recognition of your contributions to the Virginia Department of Corrections in the field of reentry,” dated September 28, 2021.

White earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts (BLA) in 2012 through SPCS with minors in Paralegal Studies and Leadership Studies. He currently serves as Workforce Development Specialist at State Farm Correctional Center.
