UR UX/UI Boot Camp
The University of Richmond’s online UX/UI (User Experience/User Interface) Boot Camp equips you with the fundamental skills you need to make an impact, all in a virtual classroom setting.
Offered by the University of Richmond School of Professional & Continuing Studies in partnership with edX, this 24-week, part-time UX/UI boot camp prepares you to become an end-to-end UX/UI professional with the hard and soft skills needed to solve big design challenges.
The UR UX/UI Boot Camp provides working adults and part-time students structured flexibility, and offers convenient online sessions. You can learn UX/UI design and understand the user journey through leading research techniques and methodologies.
The University of Richmond UI/UX Boot Camp, offered in partnership with edX, is made available through a unique consortium delivery model to provide skills-based learning to participants across Virginia and beyond. Participants will be taught by a university-approved instructor, while learning alongside students from other consortium-participating universities and institutions. Upon meeting the completion requirements, participants will be issued a certificate by the University of Richmond.
Who Should Enroll in Our User Experience Boot Camp?
This online UX/UI boot camp is right for you if:
- You’re currently working as a UX/UI professional and looking to further your career by adding UI patterns and libraries, JavaScript, and continuity and branding in UX and UI to your resume.
- You want to take a deep dive into the necessary skills, technologies, and frameworks designers need to master in order to create functional and immersive applications and better perform your current role.
- You’re looking to start your career in digital design, and you want to become fluent in front-end development — even if you aren’t executing the programming.
Admissions Requirements
No prior experience is required in this UX/UI boot camp for beginners. Pre-course tutorials will get students prepared before classes begin.
This program is not open enrollment. Applicants must undergo an initial phone interview with an admissions advisor and take a critical thinking and problem-solving assessment before an admissions decision is made.
