Engage with Partners in the Arts

Partners in the Arts (PIA) is the Richmond region’s premier resource for arts-integrated learning and teaching in P-12 classrooms. The center’s signature program is the Joan Oates Institute for Partners in the Arts.

PIA offers professional learning & instructional coaching, consulting in arts integration and support in implementing arts-integrated projects.

Three series include coursework that can lead to endorsements in Gifted Education, Special Education and ESL, noted with an asterisk (*) below.

Complete provisional licensure & relicensure

We know that many teachers are hired with provisional licenses, and we offer a number of classes each semester to meet the needs of provisionally licensed teachers. And when you start working toward licensure renewal, our graduate professional development courses earn 90 points toward relicensure.
