Partners in Education
We’re the School of Professional & Continuing Studies (SPCS), the continuing and professional education unit of the University of Richmond (UR). UR is a private, regionally accredited liberal arts school with stellar national reputation and rankings. SPCS shares the resources of the University throughout the Richmond community with tuition costs that are comparable to state school tuition.
We partner with the Virginia Council for Private Education (VCPE) to meet the learning needs of Virginia’s private school educators. We support VCPE as an academic partner, attending events and providing teacher education, educational leadership, organizational management and academic expertise.

At SPCS, advance your career with graduate coursework in Educational Leadership, Curriculum Instruction, Teaching, Organizational Effectiveness and HR Management. We also offer discounted graduate education classes for professional development. Our partnership offers VCPE member school employees a 20% discount on these programs as a member of our UR Education Consortium along with a 10% discount on a selection of noncredit professional education classes that support leadership, skill development and growth.
