    Dr. Turpin’s human resource and operations experience in retail, manufacturing, and healthcare reaches over 35 years. He spent 16 years with Ukrop’s Super Markets prior to joining the Virginia Eye Institute in 2000 served in roles of Director of Human Resources, Vice President of Human Resources, and Chief Experience Officer until 2019. He served as Chief Operating Officer at Virginia Ear, Nose, and Throat Associates prior to joining HandCraft Linen Services. Dr. Turpin is currently Chief Human Resources Officer at HandCraft Linen Services.

    Dr. Turpin founded HR UPFRONT in 2008 as a conduit between human resource knowledge and certification grounded by his passion for the field and teaching. The primary emphasis of HR UPFRONT is to deliver a quality human resource education that strengthens and enriches the core human resource competencies necessary for successful human resource professionals in today's business environment and prepares human resource professionals to successfully pass the aPHR, PHR, and SPHR certification exam.
