Next Generation Leadership Academy

The Next Generation Leadership Academy (NGLA) has a long history of designing extensive and meaningful professional development for educational leaders throughout the Richmond area.

Since 2005, NGLA has provided training for almost 850 current and aspiring school leaders in instructional, transformational and organizational leadership through a combination of coursework and practical application.

Presented through the Center for Leadership in Education (CLE) at the University of Richmond, NGLA empowers participants to become effective, motivated and supportive educational leaders. As leaders, NGLA participants are equipped to diagnose the needs of their schools, guide and develop teachers and manage their schools with a focus on student achievement.

This regional collaboration involves approximately 50 current and aspiring leaders from public schools in the City of Richmond and the counties of AmeliaCaroline, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent and Powhatan.

NGLA sessions will be held at the Jepson Alumni Center on the University of Richmond campus.
