Nonprofit Studies

Growth in the nonprofit sector has been explosive over the past decade.

That means nonprofits need leaders who understand the unique role nonprofits play in today’s world. From international NGOs to local grassroots organization, nonprofits are a vital and vibrant part of the local and global economy.

Our graduate program in Nonprofit Studies (NPS) combines theories of nonprofits with practical, real-world applications.

  • The Graduate Certificate offers a post-master’s credential for leaders of nonprofit organizations or boards.
  • Our Master of Nonprofit Studies (MNS) degree adds specialized knowledge, including advocacy and public policy, grant and proposal writing, social entrepreneurship and more, to the core offerings of the graduate certificate.
  • You can complete the MNS in just over a year by selecting our 15-Month Track, designed especially for recent college graduates.

Our program is open for enrollment and is ideal for current and prospective nonprofit leaders, nonprofit entrepreneurs and those seeking a theoretical foundation in nonprofit management and development. Face-to-face, classroom-based learning experiences are valued in the program, although some classes may be offered online or as in-class/online hybrid experiences.
