Current Class Schedule

Our Master of Liberal Arts (MLA) program is designed for adult learners who want a graduate degree that fits their busy lives and diverse academic and professional interests. Unlike programs with rigid course requirements, the MLA offers flexibility to combine graduate courses and pursue personalized research projects driven by your professional passions.

As a graduate student in the liberal arts, you’ll build a valuable base of knowledge and experience to enhance your career and professional life. You’ll expand and hone your communication, research, and critical thinking skills. You’ll build a foundation in the liberal arts with core courses like research methods, professional communication, and technology and the humanities, and you will extend that foundation with elective coursework from across the graduate curriculum.

As an MLA student, you’ll gain professional communication, research and critical thinking skills with one-on-one support from expert faculty — plus the option to explore real-world experience through an internship — all within a vibrant campus community that provides access to university resources and career services. Whether you’re looking to advance your career, explore new ideas, or explore academic or professional research interests, the MLA gives you the freedom to chart your own path.

Program of Study

The MLA requires 30 semester hours of graduate coursework, including four required core classes (12 semester hours) and six electives (18 semester hours). No thesis is required, but a capstone project is completed during the integrative seminar.
