Academic Advising

The School of Professional and Continuing Studies current students to take advantage of our academic advising services. In addition to assisting students in developing a program of study, advising provides tools and resources that are uniquely suited to adult learners.

Meeting with our advising staff can help you plan a degree or course of study suited to your needs. You are urged to use this service since information about programs and University regulations is important to your academic success.

At SPCS our advising staff is a student’s principal point of contact for academic issues that affect progress toward a degree. Members of our advising staff can assist with course planning, registration and academic counseling, and they can direct students to a variety of campus resources.

Contact our advising staff when you:

  • have questions about majors, minors or certificate programs
  • have filed for graduation
  • are preparing to register for the next semester and want to plan your schedule
  • want to explore changing majors or adding a minor
  • have questions about the registration process
  • are having academic difficulties
