Learn more about SPCS students! M.Ed. Educational Leadership and Policy Student Christopher Harts recently wrote the book Custody: The Narrative. We sat down with Christopher to learn about his first publication.
What inspired you to write your book?
My son will one day want to know the story, and I want him to know that I did everything possible to be in his life.
Can you tell us about the main themes of the book?
The main themes are fatherhood and the guaranteed right to be involved in our child’s life.
What was the writing process like for you?
I stored notes and records in my drive and organized them chronologically to tell our story.
What advice would you give to other students aspiring to publish their work?
Go for it! Self-publish or even post to an online blog—your story deserves to be heard.

What is next for you?
I am working on a comprehensive guide to using technology and AI in classrooms.
