Additionally, our Interdisciplinary Studies Online program, which earns a versatile bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, offers self-paced online classes. You can finish your degree in just over two years, focusing on two classes each semester while studying with a supportive cohort of students.
Accessible & Affordable
We keep our tuition rates competitive, comparable to many state institutions, making our programs affordable for working adults. Undergraduate tuition is just $575* per semester hour with no hidden activities or technology fees (review annual cost of attendance). Our campus-based classes are held in the evening, convenient for part-time students. And our online classes are designed specifically for the self-paced online learning and teaching environment, ensuring convenient access regardless of course delivery. Plus, you’ll have access to comprehensive Career Services to help you best prepare for a career change or advancement opportunities.

Your degree on your terms
The University of Richmond combines the resources of a private liberal arts college with the scheduling needs of working professionals. In-person classes are scheduled in the evenings on the University of Richmond campus, located conveniently in Richmond’s near West End with ample parking and all-night library access. Online and hybrid classes can take advantage of distance support from across campus while studying.
Transfer opportunities
Agreements with local, regional and statewide community colleges and Richard Bland ensure undergraduate transfer credit, and we also accept credit from a wide range of regionally accredited higher education institutions. At the graduate level, the program chair may accept up to six semester hours in transfer, depending on the coursework’s currency and applicability toward a concentration.
For less than expected
Our degree programs offer you the personalized attention and small classes size of a private university at a price that compares favorably with a public education. Our tuition rates are $575* per undergraduate and $721* per graduate credit hour. Scholarships are available and our degrees qualify for financial aid. Parking for on-campus programs costs $70/year. We don’t charge add-on fees.
