At the University of Richmond School of Professional and Continuing Studies, we understand the value of continuing education and the impact it can have on your professional development and career advancement plans. That’s why we offer master’s degrees in several in-demand fields.
Our campus-based programs offer classes in the evenings, enabling you to continue working while taking classes. Online and hybrid class formats are available as well. We currently offer the following campus-based master’s degrees:
- Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum & Instruction for current educators
- Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies for current educators
- Master of HR Management (MHRM)
- Master of Liberal Arts (MLA)
- Master of Nonprofit Studies (MNS)
- Master of Teaching (MT) for career changers
Accessible & Affordable
We also understand that the cost of earning a graduate degree is an important part of your decision. We keep our our tuition rates competitive, comparable to many state institutions, making our programs affordable. Graduate tuition is just $721* per semester hour with no hidden activities or technology fees (review annual cost of attendance).
Our classes are held on the University of Richmond campus, where ample well-lit parking near classroom buildings is available. And an increasing number of our classes are offered online or in hybrid format, convenient for part-time students. Plus, you'll have access to comprehensive Career Services to help you best prepare for a career change or advancement opportunities.

Your degree on your terms
The University of Richmond combines the resources of a private liberal arts college with the scheduling needs of working professionals. In-person classes are scheduled in the evenings on the University of Richmond campus, located conveniently in Richmond’s near West End with ample parking and all-night library access. Online and hybrid classes can take advantage of distance support from across campus while studying.
Transfer opportunities
Agreements with local, regional and statewide community colleges and Richard Bland ensure undergraduate transfer credit, and we also accept credit from a wide range of regionally accredited higher education institutions. At the graduate level, the program chair may accept up to six semester hours in transfer, depending on the coursework’s currency and applicability toward a concentration.
For less than expected
Our degree programs offer you the personalized attention and small classes size of a private university at a price that compares favorably with a public education. Our tuition rates are $575* per undergraduate and $721* per graduate credit hour. Scholarships are available and our degrees qualify for financial aid. Parking for on-campus programs costs $70/year. We don’t charge add-on fees.
