Our Master of Teaching program prepares graduates to earn a teaching license from the Virginia Department of Education and teach students at elementary, middle and secondary levels. In addition to rigorous coursework, all students complete a student teaching experience in a local school division.
And earning a master’s degree qualifies you for any local school division pay increases that may be offered.

- Elementary (preK-6)

Classes are scheduled in the evenings and during summers on the University of Richmond campus, located conveniently in Richmond’s near West End with ample parking and all-night library access. And we support part-time and full-time study in our schedules.
