  • Teaching & Educational Leadership

    B.A. in Liberal Arts with Elementary Teacher Licensure

    We offer the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts (BALA) with a concentration in Elementary Education for students who wish to complete an undergraduate degree and teach students at the elementary level. Apply for the BALA program and indicate your desire to pursue elementary teacher licensure in the application.

    Master of Teaching (MT)

    We offer the Master of Teaching (MT) as our primary pathway to teacher licensure for students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree. Students select elementary, secondary or comprehensive (PK-12) teacher licensure when completing the degree. 

    M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction

    Our M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction is designed for professional educators seeking to expand theoretical foundations of education and to enchance current approaches to student learning styles, teaching and curriculum design.

    M.Ed. in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies

    We offer the graduate program in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies for professional educators seeking to take the next step toward school leadership. Students who have not yet earned a master’s degree apply for the M.Ed. program, while those with an earned master’s degree apply for the post-master’s graduate certificate.

  • Information Security & IT Management

    Major in Information Security

    We offer the Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies (BSPS) major in Information Security for students seeking a profession in information security, data security and cybersecurity. The degree covers network, infrastructure and database security along with penetration testing.

    Major in IT Management

    We offer the Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies (BSPS) major in Information Technology Management for students seeking a profession in IT management, including hardware, networks and databases. The degree covers systems design, project management and database design among other topics.

    Certificates in Information Security & Systems

    We offer post-bachelor’s Certificates of Applied Studies (CAS) in Information Security and Information Systems for those with an earned bachelor’s degree seeking to enter the field of information systems. Both certificates earn college credit and can be completed in as little as one year.

  • Nonprofit Studies

    Master of Nonprofit Studies

    We offer the Master of Nonprofit Studies (MNS) for students seeking to enter or advance in leading or supporting nonprofit organizations, including local, regional, national and international nonprofits and non-governmental organizations.

    Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Studies

    We offer the Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Studies as a credential for students seeking background knowledge about the function and management of nonprofit organizations. Coursework taken toward the graduate certificate may be applied to the Master of Nonprofit Studies degree within a limited timeframe.

  • Paralegal Studies

    Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies

    We offer the Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies (BSPS) major in Paralegal Studies for students seeking to enter or advance in the paralegal field. Paralegals are essential to law firms and in a number of fields that require legal expertise in daily operations. 

    Certificate in Paralegal Studies

    We offer the post-bachelor’s Certificate of Applied Studies (CAS) in Paralegal Studies as a credential to help students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree enter the legal field. The certificate is also regularly used to help students without a legal background prepare to apply for law school.

  • Human Resource Management

    Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management

    We offer the Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies (BSPS) major in HR Management for students seeking to enter or advance in the HR management field. The major encourages exploration of a variety of specializations, including HR technology, international HR management and compensation & benefits.

    Graduate Certificate in HR Management

    We offer the Graduate Certificate in HR Management as a credential for students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree and seek to enter or advance in the HR field. The certificate may be completed in as few as two semesters of full-time study and earns graduate college credit. Certificate coursework may be applied to the Master of HR Management within a limited timeframe.

    Master of HR Management

    We offer the Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) degree as a credential for students seeking to advance or lead as an HR manager. The research-focused degree ensures students can apply cutting-edge theory to real-world practice as an HR professional. 

  • Communications & Critical Analysis

    Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts

    We offer the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts (BALA) major in Liberal Arts for students seeking a well-rounded liberal arts education focused on clear oral and written communication in additional to critical analysis and decision making — so-called “soft skills” that hiring managers eagerly pursue in job applicants.

    We offer a BALA major in Interdisciplinary Studies through Richmond Online, an executive degree completion program. The degree addresses the same communication and analytical skills as the major in Liberal Arts in an accelerated two-year timeframe, entirely online.

    Master of Liberal Arts

    We offer the Master of Liberal Arts (MLA) as a graduate-level credential that can be customized to meet individual goals. With a student-customized focus in addition to a strong foundation in research methods, the MLA prepares students for advancement or leadership in a variety of fields.
