Work Positive logoIf you’d like to help improve your workplace, regardless of your position in your organization, enroll in one of the University of Richmond’s Work Positive programs.

Our three Work Positive programs are a partnership between the University of Richmond and Work.Positive featuring Dr. Joey Faucette, #1 best-selling author of Work Positive in a Negative World and architect of the Work Positive framework, along with Jane Creswell, Master Certified Coach and founder of the IBM Coaches Network.

Our Work Positive programs are entirely virtual, taught through our learning experience platform and Zoom video conferencing, so you can participate regardless of your zip code. Work Positive courses are video-based, micro-learning experiences designed with your schedule and desire to enjoy a positive workplace in mind.

The goal of Work Positive is to create and sustain a positive work culture. Professional coaching using the Work Positive framework empowers senior leaders, managers and team members to collaborate on creating a positive workplace.

Work Positive Program

Work Positive consists of three interconnected programs. For best results, entire organizations may enroll in Work Positive programming to build a positive, productive work culture that permeates all levels of the organization. 

  • 7 Keys to Work Positive: Entry-level class appropriate for all employees
  • Work Positive Manager Coach Training Certificate: Coaching class for managers
  • Get Positive ICF-Certification Coach Training: International Coaching Federation-certification class for senior leaders

Managers who complete the Manager Coach Training Certificate, and senior leaders who complete Get Positive ICF-certification Coach Training, earn a professional cerficate in positive workplace culture. Coaches who complete the ICF-certification course are also eligible to earn internationally recognized gold standard for professional coaches, the ICF Associate Certified Coach credential.

    7 Keys to Work Positive

    Work Positive Manager Coach Training Certificate

    Manager Coaching imageThe struggle to effectively manage today’s workforce is never-ending. More is required than ensuring that work is done right. Managers must balance the company’s goals and objectives with employee needs for engagement and development.

    This course broadens the manager’s skill-set to include coaching that creates a positive workplace, increasing the company’s profitability while developing greater employee engagement. Group mentor coaching calls via Zoom enhance the growth of the manager’s skill-set with real-world, real-time applications in this course.

    This certificate program reviews the 7 keys to Work Positive followed by 10 modules that teach basic coaching skills for managers to help them create a better work environment. Rooted in organizational development, coaching training, and cognitive and group psychology, this certificate encourages “coaching for results” to help managers develop a collaborative environment.

    Students who complete the program earn a Professional Certificate in Manager Coaching from the University of Richmond.

  • Get Positive Coach Training - ICF-Approved Certification

    Get Positive Coach Training - ICF-Approved Certification

    Coaching Certification imageThis one-of-a-kind course teaches you how to coach your co-workers and create a positive workplace while qualifying to become an ICF-certified coach so you lead and serve others using the best neuroscience, positive psychology, and organizational development research available. You’ll also earn certification as a Work Positive coach.

    This year-long experience features a combination of virtual learning, live cohort sessions via Zoom, video-based, individual microlearning, and guided triad coaching, all of which combine to teach one of the most valuable business skills employers around the world are searching for: positive workplace coaching.

    This certificate program is designed for chief executives seeking to develop and coach a positive, collaborative workplace. The program consists of 6 asynchronous modules and 32 synchronous modules.

    Students who complete the program earn a Get Positive Professional Certificate from the University of Richmond and are eligible to earn the ICF Associate Certified Coach credential. 

    Outcomes

    Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

    • Take the ICF Coach Knowledge Assessment (CKA) and, upon passing it along with the successful submission of a coaching log, achieve the ICF ACC credential.
    • Coach within companies to create a positive workplace which increases employee productivity and company profitability.
    • Apply the best research in neuroscience, positive psychology and organizational development to coaching using proven best practices.
