Profile

Lucinda McDermott Piro is a teaching artist with a background in playwriting, acting, directing, music. She has taught K-12 residencies, as well as workshops for professionals, and has been a theater faculty member of several universities including Hampton, Virginia Tech, and Radford. She has been a Teaching Fellow with North Carolina’s A+ Arts Integration School Program since 2011. Lucinda is best known for her critically acclaimed one woman show, “O’Keeffe!”, which celebrates the artist Georgia O’Keeffe. She is the Director of Education for Richmond Performing Arts Alliance, formerly Richmond CenterStage.
