
Dr. Joel Hanel is the Accreditation & Assessment Specialist for the School of Professional & Continuing Studies. Working with faculty and staff, he coordinates and assists programs in developing procedures for accreditation, student assessment, and program assessment. Hanel works with Education Leadership & Policy Studies (ELPS) and Teacher Education in their work for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE). He manages course-based, portfolio, and field experience assessment in Taskstream LAT.
Hanel comes to the University of Richmond from Radford University, where he worked in the College of Education and Human Development.
