Our STEPS (Strategies & Techniques for Enhancing Performance & Skills) to Success introduces important skills, techniques and strategies to maximize success on test day, and provides advice for entry-level college and career planning. Also includes The College Edge, a college-application preparation program for rising high school seniors.

Wedding & Event Planner
General Information

This program teaches the fundamentals of planning, orchestrating and delivering social events as well as owning and operating a successfully wedding and event planning business. From weddings and anniversaries to birthdays and baby showers, this detailed step-by-step methodology teaches clear and concise formulas for detailing the personal and professional aspects of any social event.

  • Event planning
  • Wedding and event coordination
  • Study of business structure
  • Documentation and contracts
  • How to work with vendors, clients and prospective brides/grooms
  • Marketing

Becoming a Certified Wedding and Event Planner requires business organization, logistics, networking, and client relationship management skills. The online resource library contains hundreds of business templates and industry resource documents to complement students’ wedding planning talents and growing business needs. Business tools such as contracts, business and marketing plans, fee structures, service offerings and more are available to learn from and develop for practical application. Curriculum is updated throughout the year from industry professionals providing feedback on the best practices, latest trends and newest technology to support industry professionals.

Additional Information

As a graduate of this program, you will have the option to participate in a customized internship that meets your career objectives, start your own wedding and event planning business, or join an existing company.

Tuition includes textbook, online resource access, workbooks, testing and national certification from the Wedding Planning Institute (WPI).
