Giving to the Osher Institute

Lifelong learning is not a pastime. It is a way of life that contributes to the well-being of our members, our university and our community. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Richmond is excited to be celebrating its 20th year providing our members a continuing university home. Celebrate with us by making a gift to our Osher Annual Fund Campaign!

Make Your Gift to Osher

You may give a one-time or monthly recurring gift to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Richmond. You may donate anonymously, if you wish, and you may make your gift as a tribute in honor or in memory of another person. Corporate matches are accepted. And for those aged 70½ and above, Qualified Charitable Distributions from an IRA are another great way to give!

Ways to Make a Gift

1. Online: Use the giving button above or visit uronline.net/osher to make a one-time or recurring monthly gift.
2. Mail: Mail a completed donor form and check payable to the University of Richmond (designate Osher Annual Gift in the memo line) to the Osher Institute.
3. In Person: Drop off a check payable to the University of Richmond (designate Osher Annual Gift in the memo line) to the Osher Institute office or hand to the Osher staff member during an in-person Osher class.
4. Venmo: Make your gift to Osher via Venmo @SpiderGiving. Be sure to include your name, Osher, and fund 20939 in the comment section.
5. Phone: Call the Annual Giving office at (804) 289-8050 and say you’d like to make a gift to the Osher Institute.
6. IRA Rollover Gift: If you are 70½ years or older, coordinate a Qualified Charitable Contribution from an IRA to the Osher Institute by contacting the Gift Planning office at (804) 287-1864. The Gift Planning office has provided a sample letter you can send to your plan administrator.
7. Planned Gift: Coordinate a planned gift to the Osher Institute by contacting the Gift Planning office.
8. Appreciated Stock: Make a stock gift to the Osher Institute by contacting the Advancement Operations team at (804) 289-8022, (800) 480-4774 x7, or advops@richmond.edu.
9. Matching Gifts: Search eligible companies that match gifts for University of Richmond contributions. University of Richmond’s Tax ID is 54-0505965.
