Master of Nonprofit Studies 15-Month Track

Effective for summer 2020, we’re scheduling a 15-month option for completing the Master of Nonprofit Studies. The program is ideal for those seeking to complete a master’s degree focused on nonprofit organizations in just over a year.

The 15-month track schedules courses to ensure completion within a 15-month timeframe starting in the summer and concluding the following summer. The degree is completed using the following schedule, which includes fall and spring semesters of full-time graduate study. This track includes two summer internships, providing recent college graduates with professional field experiences.

Program Schedule

Summer 1 (6 semester hours)

Students begin the program with an immersive introduction to the nonprofit sector and a real-world internship experience.

Fall Semester (9 semester hours)

Students study with part-time MNS students, many already working in the field, encouraging networking and connections around shared interests.

  • NPS 540U Resource Development & Promotion (required)
  • Content Specialization or Systematic Design & Inquiry focused course (elective)

Spring Semester (9 semester hours)

Students complete required courses for the program except for the capstone and second internship.

  • NPS 550U Strategic Human Resource Management (required)
  • Content Specialization or Systematic Design & Inquiry focused course (elective)

Summer 2 (6 semester hours)

Students complete their MNS degree with a second internship and the capstone research seminar.
