PIA ECT Award Application Process

Assemble Your Team

Engage with colleagues to build your collaborative team. Teams may be as small as two teachers or much, much larger. Team members may be teachers and administrators from any discipline. Note that an accepted proposal will fund a limited number of Joan Oates Institute or PIA course participants. Review the Funding Levels on the ECT Awards page for details.

Administrator Support

Confirm administrative support for the team and its project proposal.

Framework & Funding Level

Identify a broad framework into which the proposal fits and determine the funding level. If this is your first proposal, you are submitting an Engaging level proposal.

Draft A Narrative Response

During the application process, you’ll be asked to attach a narrative response. Review the narrative response guidelines and prepare your draft as a Word or PDF document.
