Learn the fundamentals for making necklaces and bracelets including bead placement, crimping and clasps techniques. You will complete at least two beautiful jewelry pieces.

Come make your own pair of original earrings! The fundamental concepts and techniques of both design and creation of original jewelry will be discussed and the techniques of piercing and filing, soldering and polishing will be covered. This course is open to all levels of experience and will be held at the Visual Arts Center in Richmond.

This course introduces the beautiful, fresh, and fun art emerging from India today. During lectures we will investigate and discuss various styles, mediums, and works by contemporary Indian artists, highlighting social and political significances.

NEW! Discover the pleasure of pushing colorful washes around on the painting surface through the exploration of still life, portraiture and landscape. All the basics of watercolor fundamentals will be covered if you are joining us for the first time. Develop a personal style with plenty of individual instruction through a series of painting techniques working from your photos and life. (Note: Please bring several photos of fruit, flowers, close-ups of heads from various angles, and landscape scenes, all enlarged to 11 x 17 on copy paper.)

NEW! This class will cover the history of landscape photography, including analysis of students' own photographs, survey contemporary topics in landscape photography, and incorporate shooting assignments.

Learn to tweak your technique, thought process, and tools within your camera. We'll also discuss the equipment necessary to enhance your photography. Bring your equipment to class, as we will have plenty time for questions.
