Noncredit certificates are earned credentials that document learning. They demonstrate to employers and supervisors that you have studied a body of knowledge or have mastered a practice or methodology.
Our certification programs, and those of our online partner providers, are centered around the core mission of the University of Richmond as a liberal arts institution. The topic areas covered by our certification programs complement the curriculum of the University and the needs of students, staff, faculty and alumni at a liberal arts college.
The University of Richmond issues many of our certificates. Some of our certificate programs, like our Financial Planning Certificate program, offer coursework toward a nationally-recognized certification by a governing body, resulting in designations like CFP® (Certified Financial Planner™).
