SPCS Night

SPCS Night 2017 will be held on Wednesday, May 3, at 6 p.m. in the Alice Jepson Theatre of the Modlin Center for the Arts on the University of Richmond campus. Attendance is by invitation and RSVP only. Invited guests receive invitations by mail. The ceremony is followed by a brief reception in the Booth Lobby and Modlin Courtyard of the Modlin Center for the Arts.

Graduation candidates, faculty, staff and guests are invited to attend the School of Professional and Continuing Studies Night, a program and reception honoring the School’s faculty and graduates.

During SPCS Night, graduating students are honored in a variety of categories, including service, leadership and academics. Departmental Book Awards are awarded by program area, Commencement Participants are named based on academic achievement, and a number of additional awards are named during the event.

Two special award recipients are named during the ceremony: The student-nominated recipients of the Jean H. Proffitt Student Service Award and Itzkowitz Family Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Award.

Award recipients are honored during SPCS Night and named in the Commencement program.
