Tuition & Financial Aid
Earning a degree costs money. The School of Professional & Continuing Studies offers a valuable University of Richmond education at competitive rates (quoted at 2013-2014 levels).
- Most undergraduate courses cost $430 per semester hour, and most undergraduate courses award three semester hours.
- For current educators, our Professional Development courses cost only $280 per semester hour of graduate credit.
- Most of our graduate courses cost $530 per semester hour, and most graduate courses award three semester hours.
Parking permits are inexpensive ($40 per year) and allow parking in several convenient lots on campus. Many faculty and staff lots are open for commuter parking after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, increasing the number of lots available for Professional & Continuing Studies students.

Degree-seeking students may qualify for financial aid and/or SPCS scholarships and can utilize the University of Richmond’s Financial Aid Office. Merit-based scholarships, need-based aid, Virginia Tuition Assistant Grant (VTAG) and loans are some of the resources available to qualified applicants. And the University’s Deferred Payment Plan allows you to spread tuition payments over several months.
