Apply to a Degree Program

Applying to a degree program—graduate or undergraduate—at the School of Professional and Continuing Studies is as easy as 1-2-3.

  1. Pick your term below and submit the appropriate online application with your fee ($35 undergraduate, $50 graduate).
  2. Have original transcripts for ALL college-level work sent to the School.
  3. Make arrangements to submit required supporting materials.

To take a few classes without applying to a degree program—complete the non-degree seeking application.

    Summer 2013
    Online Application Forms
    • Graduate: Master’s degrees and graduate certificates (except TLP)
    • Bachelor’s: Undergraduate bachelor’s degrees in arts (BALA) or science (BSPS)
    • Certificate (Undergraduate): Post-baccalaureate certificates require a bachelor’s degree
    • Teacher Licensure Preparation (TLP): Course work toward Virginia teacher licensure
    Application Deadline

    Priority application deadlines ensure acceptance in the selected term ONLY if all application requirements (including official transcripts, résumé, statement of purpose, recommendations and placement test scores) are received by the admissions coordinator. We will process applications after the deadline for the selected term. However, applying after the priority deadline may result in delayed admission and may affect your eligibility for financial aid.

    • Summer II priority deadline: June 1, 2013
    Online Application Procedure
    • Application links will open the self-service application portal in a new window.
    • You will have an opportunity to establish application login credentials.
    • You will receive a temporary password by e-mail; please enter a valid e-mail address to which you have immediate access.

    You will not be able to access the online application until you receive the temporary password.

    Fall 2013
